Mr. President. General Vesseys trip provides the relationship necessary for the level of cooperation on this issue crucial to its resolution. Other issues to be raised by General Vessey during his trip will include the 30.000 Amerasian children who deserve the opportunity to come to this country if they choose to do so. the thousands of Vietnamese who are held in socalled reeducation camps to this day. and the rejuvenation of emigration procedures for those wishing to leave Vietnam. I would also suggest that if we could resolve these issues. perhaps there is a much greater opportunity to resolve others.
