There is a war down there and there are victims on both sides. We do not like the fact there are victims on either side. but we need to be honest about it and recognize that it is not just a matter of the Contras providing victims. The other day President Reagan read in the newspaper about the Contras attacking some refugees that a priest was trying to get out of Nicaragua. He called the priest when he got back to Iowa and said. "What about this story that the Contras attacked you?" He said. "Oh. no. The Contras didnt attack us.
