Mr. Eduardo Martinez. a Cuban immigrant and a leading member of the Miami community. led his neighbors and friends in what soon became a very special tribute to our Nations independence. In the midst of the national extravaganza commemorating the anniversary of the Statue of Liberty. nearly 10.000 people gathered at Mr. Martinez home in southwest Miami around a 28foot replica of the Statue of Liberty and scaled plywood replicas of the White House and the Capitol.
