As I speak. members of Helsinki 86 are preparing for a peaceful demonstration this Sunday to honor the victims of the Soviet deportation 47 years ago. By adopting House Joint Resolution 159. Congress will show its solidarity with this group as they demonstrate their commitment to regain their basic human rights. and will show the world that we do not recognize the illegal incorporation of the Baltic nations into the Soviet Union.
