I say again. what is the big deal? Why the opposition to adding AIDS to that already long list? The reason why these grounds for exclusion were enacted is obvious. Mr. President. The Federal Government has the obligation to protect its citizenry from foreigners immigrating to this country who carry deadly diseases which threaten the health and safety of U.S. citizens. So I say again. what is wrong with adding one more. a disease that is on the minds of every American today? I agree with this principle of exclusion. which is why this amendment is pending in the Senate today.
