Evanoff was born in Tetovo. Macedonia. outside the Yugoslavian border. His family came to Flint when he was a child and settled on the east side of the city among the hundreds of other brave and hopeful immigrants who sought opportunity and freedom in America. A product of Flint schools. Mr. Evanoff used his talents and resources to the fullest. graduating from the University of Michigan Law School in 1937. He went on to work with the International Institute of Flint and encouraged other immigrants to take language classes and seek citizenship while urging the retention of ethnic cultures. Mr. Speaker.
