Proceeds from the dinner will be used for the Joe Souza Dairy Science Scholarship. and while I will be unable to personally join In this tribute. I share the sentiment which I know will be expressed that evening. Joe Souza Is an example of what we like to refer to as a "Great American Dream" story. One of eleven children of a Portuguese immigrant. his father came to this country with 10 cents in his pocket but eventually acquired a small farm. Joe only went to school until the 10th grade. when he then joined the military during World War II. Upon his return. he married his wife.
