Nigerians are known to be involved with a heroin drug smuggling operation. And. one of the largest and most widespread crack operations in this country is run by illegal Haitians. It is common knowledge that the U.S. immigration law allows for the deportation of aliens who are in the United States illegally as well as for aliens who commit certain felonies while in this country. However. identifying and prosecuting such illegal alien felons is a long and complex process. It is a lengthy and often inefficient procedure which is frustrating our law enforcement officers. It is not uncommon for an alien who has committed a certain felony to pay his bond and walk. only to be apprehended for a similar crime in the next county but with a new name and identification.
