The purpose of Senator HATFIELDs amendment is to facilitate the effective provision of case management services to the homeless through existing community action agencies and migrant and seasonal farmworker organizations. The authorization of an additional $20 million in fiscal year 1987 and in fiscal year 1988 under the community services block grant will allow community action agencies to render enhanced performance in providing information and followup services to those persons who may be eligible to receive other forms of Federal assistance.
