Session #100 · 1987–89

Speech #1000022353

Inna was a victim of cancer. and she required medical attention available in the United States. The Soviets did not permit Irma to receive this treatment when it could have saved her life. Rather. they continually delayed issuing Irma Meiman an exit visa until her illness progressed to a stage where it could no longer be treated. Naur was not allowed to join his wife in the United States or to attend her funeral. Soviet action can no longer help Irma Meiman. Naum. however. still wishes to live in the West. I implore the Soviet Government to give Naum Meiman permission to emigrate immediately.e
