Mr. President. I would like to call my colleagues attention to a telegram from Naum Meiman. Soviet refusenik whose wife Inna was a cancer victim. Inna Meiman passed away here in Washington at the beginning of the year. Naums words describe his pain and suffering in moving detail. I implore the Soviet Government give Naum Meiman permission to emigrate immediately. The telegram follows: [Telegram] Naum Meiman has asked me to pass the following message to you: I am deeply grateful to all of you for your efforts to save Innas life. I also thank you for cables of condolence. Inna could not get adequate treatment in the Soviet Union.
