The letter follows: Recently I saw the play "The Rise of David Levinsky". It deals with a man who has been in the US for 25 years and shows him as a young boy in Russia and then in NY and it gives an idea of what he felt like as a new immigrant. not knowing the language and struggling. and being very much alone. This vividly reminded me of my own beginnings here. I arrived in the US in 1947.
