Mr. Speaker. I would like to bring to Congress attention the 75th anniversary of a fine and timehonored Sacramento institution. the Bocho Kai. Originally founded as the Yamaguchi Ken Jin Kai. Bocho Doshi Kai has stood as a cornerstone of Sacramentos Japanese community since 1912. Established in the midst of the first large wave of Japanese immigration to the United States. Yamaguchi Ken Jin Kai acted as a cohesive force for those newly arrived from Yamaguchi Prefecture. Mr. Manzuchi Yoshinaga. a dentist by profession. acted as its first chairman. and Mr. Soichi Nakatani. an employee of the Bank of Japan in Sacramento served as the general secretary.
