Session #99 · 1985–87

Speech #990278944

This could not have been achieved without the support and cooperation of all of the House conferees. There was a spirit of complete bipartisan cooperation throughout the difficultand often emotionalconference deliberations. I want to particularly commend some of the Judiciary Committee conferees who have worked so long and so hard as we have gone through this torturous process of reforming our immigration laws. I want to particularly commend the chairman of the Immigration Subcommittee. Mr. MAZZOLI. as well as the ranking minority member of the full Judiciary Committee. Mr. FISH. and the ranking minority member of the Immigration Subcommittee. Mr. LUNGREN for their extraordinary efforts on this matter. not only in this Congress. but over the past three Congresses.
