Mr. Speaker. I thank the gentleman for yielding time to me. and I rise in support of the rule. I commend by friend from California . who is presenting his third rule on the long path to enacting an immigration bill. The gentleman has taken a strong leadership role in moving this measure both in the Committee on Rules and in the conference committee. His leadership and energy have been important factors in producing a generally satisfactory bill. On the whole. its a good agreement. I certainly support the rule which allows the House to work its will on the agreement.
