In a word. No. I say no. Because in our zeal to slap the hands of those who would hire undocumented persons. we are also setting up a situation where employers would rather not hire a person of color because of the risk of a fine. Its not the bigots that concern me. they will always find a way to discriminate. No. its the ordinary small businessperson who isnt going to take any chances. They cant afford to. That is why we must. at all costs. maintain. the antidiscrimination provisions in this bill. We must fight back any attempt to eliminate or alter those provisions.
