So the question comes now: Can we do it in the last days of this Congress? In the last two Congresses immmigration reform has been defeated because of time. In a very paradoxical sense. immigration reform may come forward this time because of time. That is. we are in a pressure cooker now. People understand we need immigration reform. More and more Members talk to those of us on the committees involved and say to us. "We need immigration reform. People are talking about it back home." So now folks are in the mood to do it. Since we have a little bit of time. maybe we are not going to be dilatory.
