Mr. Speaker. I am very proud to live in a very free country. and I wish immigration law was not the occasional blemish on our record of freedom. We have a very dumb law on the books that passed over Harry Trumans veto 30some odd years ago which gives the Immigration Service the right to censor people whose political beliefs they do not like when they try to come here. But while it gives them the right. it does not mandate that they do It. We ought to repeal that stupid law. but there is no need for them to be excessive in enforcing it while it is on the books.
