Mr. Speaker. the intended purpose here in calling up House Resolution 215 is to provide us an opportunity to consider again a fair rule on immigration reform. to give this House an opportunity to consider immigration reform both today and tomorrow. hopefully giving us enough time to complete action to get it in conference and to be able to complete final action on immigration reform this year. This issue has been debated passionately. has been amended. has been improved. going over a period now of 5 years. We should not leave it dead on the floor of the House of Representatives.
