Mr. Speaker. I rise in support of House Resolution 559. the rule providing for the consideration of H.R. 3810. immigration reform legislation. Many things have been said this morning regarding both the rule and H.R. 3810. and much of what has been said unfairly characterizes the rule and the immigration reform legislation. Mr. Speaker. H.R. 3810 is a product of many months of debate and compromise in concepts and actual legislative language. The rule providing for the consideration of H.R. 3810 furthermore provides adequate opportunity for all Members of this body to offer their own amendments and revisit many of the issues which some Members might consider objectionable.
