The confirmation of Judge Scalia marks the first time an ItalianAmerican has ascended to the highest Court in the land. I am confident that he will make all of us in the ItalianAmerican community proud and that he will serve America in a distinguished and professional manner. ItalianAmericans have come a long way from their humble immigrant heritage. The confirmation of Judge Scalia as an Associate Justice on the Supreme Court is yet another indication of the long. successful road we have traveled. I want to congratulate Judge Scalia and his family and wish him the best of luck in his new position.
