I understand what the gentleman is saying. I am just saying some of us were saying to the leadership on the other side of the aisle last January and last year that we would find ourselves in exactly the spot we have now. on immigration reform. The gentleman says we have not had a major impeachment in 50 years. That is true. I do note on the Suspension Calendar we are commending the Peace Corps 25th and the ACDA 25th anniversary. We might be here next year having an anniversary date of 25 years since we last dealt with immigration in a comprehensive fashion. That is the problem. Maybe I should have gone in that direction for commemorative legislation and then we would have accomplished something.
