Session #99 · 1985–87

Speech #990227394

Inna has been through four hazardous operations. and remains in constant pain as the tumor in her neck continues to grow and her condition continues to deteriorate. Soviet doctors have said there is nothing more they can do for her and have left her to her sad fate. Each one of these cancer victims has had to suffer additionally because of the terrible strain on their lives as refuseniks. They have been subject to senseless torment just because they have expressed their desire to emigrate. Soviet authorities have even disconnected the Meimans phone. leaving Inna without a means to call an ambulance in an emergency. This is a complete abuse of human rights and an outrage.
