Session #99 · 1985–87

Speech #990199077

Mr. President. I recently received a letter written by Naum Meiman. a friend of mine in the Soviet Union. who has been denied permission to emigrate with his wife. Inna. to Israel. This letter is a plea to the delegates at the Bern Conference on Human Contacts to seriously consider the Meimans plight. The Soviets have denied Inna and Naum their basic human rights for far too long. I ask that the letter be printed in the RECORD. I strongly urge the Soviet authorities to allow the Meimans to emigrate to Israel. The letter follows: NAB. GORKoGo 4/22. APT. 57. 113127 Moscow.
