Session #99 · 1985–87

Speech #990194318

The time is long overdue to allow Aleksandr. his wife. Polina. and two daughters. Dorina and Anna. to emigrate to Israel and be reunited with Aleksandrs brother. Itzhak. Those of us in the free world must continue to speak out on behalf of the Paritskys and the many others who are persecuted and oppressed by governments that do not recognize basic human rights. It is imperative that we continue to call upon the Soviet government to abide by international human rights agreements which recognize freedom of religion and the right to emigrate. I hope and pray that someday soon. the Paritskys will be able to celebrate the Sabbath freely and say with truth to their Kharkov neighbors. "Next year in Jerusalem."
