The Soviet citizens I have just mentioned are all in Moscow. There are. Mr. Speaker. many. many others. The first is the Jachno family of Ukraine. Peter Jachno managed to get out of the Soviet Union during World War II. he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean war and graduated from UCLA. In 1959. he went to Ukraine to visit his sick mother. Only in 1981 did Peter manage to get out of the U.S.S.R. again. Since 1982. his wife. Lydia. and son have been trying to emigrate from the U.S.S.R. to rejoin him in the United States. Asker Suleymani was born in Iran. In 1948.
