From politics to the arts. from education to entertainment. the names of the ItalianAmericans are prominent. We are proud people not only in terms of what we have done for America but also in terms of history. Pride and hard work underlie the ItalianAmerican experience in America. One reason we have been so successful it that ItalianAmericans dont believe that America owes us a living. The Italian immigrants who camo to America did not come here believing that this country was required to give them a living and take care of them. They didnt want that. What they asked for was a chance to earn for themselves a better life.
