I wish to take this moment to bring to the attention of my colleagues the death of one of my most honored constituents. Fritz Huntsinger. founder of VETCO Offshore. Inc.. was born in Eimdeldinges. Germany. on June 8. 1899. and attended schools in Switzerland. He served in the German Army during World War I. in Russia on the Western front. He was a prisoner of war in England until 1920. He returned to Germany and earned a diesel engineering degree from Nurenberg University in 1923. That same year he immigrated to the United States and became a floor sweeper for Schwab Tool Co.. in Ventura. CA. This company served the emerging oil industry in Southern California.
