Mr. Speaker. I thank the Congressional Human Rights Caucus for this important and timely special order. I cannot overstate the joy we continue to feel now that Anatoly Shcharansky is free to live with his wife in his chosen land of Israel. He is a most remarkable person. Unfortunately. not all of those in the Soviet Union who are in jail. or exile. or simply not allowed to emigrate. are as strong as Mr. Shcharansky. We will continue to focus all of our efforts to see that Andrei Sakharov. Yuri Orlov. Vladimir Lifschitz and all of those who want to leave. will be allowed to leave.
