We cannot be silent bystanders in this fight for basic human rights. We must speak out at every opportunity. protest the status quo in every forum. We must join Shcharansky. who. on his arrival at the Israeli airport. pledged "I am not going to forget those who I left in the camps. in the prisons. * * * who still continue their struggle for their right to emigrate. for their human rights. We must raise our voices against Soviet tyranny along with Shcharansky. We must make it clear that continuing Soviet abuse will be met by a continuing outcry in the West.
