Mr. President. I rise in support of the reauthorization of the Community Health Centers and Migrant Health Centers Programs. and urge the Senate to adopt the bill already passed by the House. This legislation before us today will help ensure the continued development and vitality of communitybased health centers. Community health centers have provided essential health services to those most in need for more than 20 years. Study after study has shown that community health centers provide highquality. costeffective care to those who would otherwise lack access to essential health services. Last year alone. community health centers were the primary source of health care services to more than 5 million Americans.
