We owe a lot to the "Emerald Isle" and it is time that we return that debt of gratitude. And as the Mayor points out. for the first time in many years the United States Congress is showing an increased awareness of issues of concern to the IrishAmerican community from aid to Northern Ireland. to Irish immigration. to concerns that many of us have over the proposed United StatesUnited Kingdom Extradition Treaty. Mayor Flynns concluding observation is particularly appropriate: So on this Saint Patricks Day. let us be proud of our heritage. and prouder still to be a vital part of America. the greatest country in the world. I ask that Mayor Flynns message be printed in the RECORD.
