I helped to organize and establish a community health center in my home city of Houston. TX. With the help of medical residents and nurses from the area. one of the first community health centers in the city of Houston came to exist. Today that center is a constant reminder of the good we can achieve through these community based centers. In reauthorizing this important program we have the opportunity to reinvest in a program that works. Community and Migrant Health Centers Program is the first step in developing a visionary health policy for the United States. it deserves the continued support of the Congress.
