Session #99 · 1985–87

Speech #990153896

In that regard. it is interesting to note that when I made a speech not so long ago to a group of Canadians. I spoke about the book "The Abandonment of the Jews." They responded by saying. "Let us send you the one about Canada." In Canada the companion book is entitled "None Is Too Many." because there. too. the gates were closed to the Jews. It is also interesting and sad to note that a look at immigration patterns over the history of this country shows that in the 1930s. when the need was so great. we reached the lowest levels of immigration. There was no previous period of our existence as a country when immigration was as low. Ninety percent of the quota. Madam President. went unfilled.
