Named the "William Marconi Lodge of Mutual Benefit." after Marconi. the Italian inventor of the wireless who was granted honorary membership. The lodge grew and prospered. Its members fought in our wars. marched In our holiday parades. and some gave their lives to defend freedom and America. Now as always. the lodge is a social center for the descendants of immigrants. coal miners. steelworkers. railroaders. and builders. and for the craftsmen themselves. The ladies auxiliary. formed in 1947. also has a long. illustrious and worthy history. On behalf of the people of my Fourth District involving the counties of Armstrong.
