For years. and most recently this year. he has been at the intellectual forefront of the immigration reform debate. sharing his respect for the Constitution and for human rights with others as he has struggled to make the necessary changes in our immigration laws. He has also fought tirelessly for the cause of civil rights for all people of this country and for this he has the respect and admira. tion of a nation.
