Chief Judge Kozinski is one of the most qualified individuals to be nominated for this position in recent times. notwithstanding the fact that he is only 35 years of age. Because of his extraordinary background. and because of the extraordinary measures that those who oppose his nomination have taken. I would like to review both his background and the course of his nomination for the benefit of my colleagues. Chief Judge Kozinski was born in 1950 in Bucharest. Rumania. Im informed he came to the United States at the age of 12. and become a naturalized U.S citizen in 1968. After receiving his bachelors degree from UCLA in 1972. Chief Judge Kozinski took his law degree from that same institution in 1975.
