Mr. President. I will make a brief statement. We will be glad to hear from those who oppose the nomination. I rise today to voice my strong support and urge my colleagues support for Judge Alex Kozinski. President Reagans nominee to be a U.S. circuit judge for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Judge Kozinski was born in Bucharest. Rumania. on July 23. 1950. and became a naturalized United States citizen in 1968. He graduated cum laude from UCLA in 1972. In 1975 Judge Kozinki received his law degree from UCLA Law School graduating first in his class. He served as managing editor of the UCLA Law Review and received the outstanding achievement award at graduation.
