The most defenseless element of the Afghan societychildrenhave not been spared the Soviet barbarities. Thousands of children have been kidnaped from their parents and shipped to Soviet indoctrination camps where they are taught to fight on behalf of the Soviets. Children who escape such a fate. face being maimed or killed by toy butterfly bombs. murdered by Soviet incursions in villages. or a childhood in Pakistani refugee camps. Despite international condemnations for their murderous policies in Afghanistan. the Soviets have pursued a business as usual approach. The frightening and disturbing reality however is that this has gone largely unnoticed by the vast majority of the world.
