I guess. about 11 or 11:30 this morning. This afternoon. a quorum call was put in place on the other side of the aisle and. despite repeated attempts to try and get the quorum lifted so we could move ahead. it is clear that there was some kind of confusion. difficulty. obstruction. whatever you want to call it. on the other side of the aisle. I think it is important we get the Senate clearly on record. one way or the other. on the amendment before us so we can move on to ALAN SIMPSONS immigration bill. Therefore. I am going to move to table my own amendment.
