That has not yet been cleared. but it will be the chairmans intention to move. with the proper phraseology. that we do that before 12 oclock. if clearance occurs. In the meantime. for the committee. the chairman points out to Senators or members of their staffs who may be listening to the proceedings this morning that there are a number of amendments to this measure which have been worked out and can be dealt with promptly by the committee. It is this Senators understanding that we will revert to this measure when we have concluded work on the immigration bill this afternoon. I am unable to say what time that may occur. but in the hope and with the reasonable expectation that that may occur before it is time to close business for the day.
