Session #99 · 1985–87

Speech #990080320

Mr. President. on tomorrow. following routine morning business. the Senate will resume consideration of S. 1200. the Immigration Reform and Control Act. I think it is obvious that rollcall votes could be expected throughout Thursdays session. I previously expressed to my colleagues what is anticipated there and what our anticipation is on that issue. But with that. I express that there will be rollcall votes throughout the day. It is hoped that. with progress and alacrity. perhaps there will not be a session on Friday. if we are able to dispose of the immigration issue. even at perhaps a later time tomorrow evening. That is subject to the will of the Senate.
