Mr. Speaker. much is said today about the problems of successfully mainstreaming Hispanics into the American way of life. We spend a great deal of time worrying about the high dropout rate of Hispanic students. about quality of education our children receive. about the health and housing of Hispanics. about our immigration problems and about underrepresentation of HispanIcs in government. The positive influence of Hispanics is not often brought to the forefront. and I think the time has come to point with pride to the many contributions Hispanics are making to American culture and business. The distinguished gentleman I stand to recognize today.
