World War II and an increase in demand for the products of an industrial economy brought renewed vigor to the Nation and to the Polish community. Hitlers ruthless invasion of Poland and his persecution of the valiant Polish resistance prompted many Poles to Join the American war effort to fight Nazi tyranny.
