I would like to join with my voice to echo the sentiments of our group. to really call for the right of Soviet Jews to be able to practice their religion in their own country. and to be able to emigrate to a country of their choosing. I was very pleased to join this bipartisan group to travel to both Moscow and Leningrad in search of agreements in the area of peace. because the issues of peace and human rights are a bipartisan effort. As you may recall. It took us 23 hours to get home from our flights from Leningrad. to Vienna. to Zurich. to Geneva. to Kennedy. back here to Washington.
