The FSLN representatives reJune 1.9. 1985 iterated the Sandinista position that borders would disappear in the event of a U.S. attack against Nicaragua and assured the Salvadoran guerrillas. "You have always had our help and this will not change." Mr. President. others of these documents that I have read trace the military training histories of numerous members of the FMLN guerrilla forces to Cuba. Bulgaria. and even Vietnam. still others refer to guerrilla links with Salvadoran refugees camps in Honduras. to infiltration routes from Nicaragua via Honduras and from Guatemala and Mexico. There are documents that plan for FSLN and FMLN forces to be put under a joint command in the event of a U.S. invasion. There can no longer be any doubt. in my opinion. about the coordination between the Government of Nicaragua and the guerrilla insurrection in El Salvador.
