Mr. Speaker. I rise before my colleagues today to call attention to an outstanding resident of the Fifth Congressional District. George Furgala. who recently celebrated his 100th birthday. George Furgala was born on March 12. 1885. in AustriaHungary. In 1910. he immigrated to America where he married and settled in Chicago. After numerous occupations. he was employed at R.R. Donnelly and Sons. from which he retired in 1951 after 28 years of service. George and his wife. Felicia. raised three children and were long active in community and religious affairs on the south side of Chicago. Mr. Speaker. I join with the residents of the Fifth Congressional District in congratulating George Furgala on the occasion of his 100th birthday and extend my best wishes for many years of happiness and success.*
