I know that we cannot keep our State Department and INS people out there forever. and I know that we have resource demands in other parts of the world. But I say to the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee. Senator LUGAP.. who is the floor manager of this bill. that I hope that whatever representations need to be made to the Immigration and Naturalization Service are made. so that our people will be kept in Thailand until the processing is brought to a satisfactory conclusion. Senator SIMPSON has worked on this issue in the Judiciary Committee. as has Senator KENNEDY. They have worked very hard on it. and I appreciate their efforts.
