They symbolize the greatness of this Nation and its source of strength: Hardworking people who came to this country with a dream and desire for freedom. Through dedication. unbending faith. and laborious effort. they helped build the worlds strongest democracy. The longevity and vitality of the Honterus Evangelical Lutheran Church is not only symbolic of the dedication and faith of its membership. it is also reflective of the enormous pride and spirit of this nation of immigrants. I am proud to pay tribute to the congregation of Honterus and it gives me great pleasure to extend my sincere congratulations to them on the occasion of their 75th anniversary.o
