Session #99 · 1985–87

Speech #990021481

Unfortunately those speeches. hearings. axd resolutions were not sufficient. The killing went on. and the cries of the dying and desperat. went unheeded. Our immigration policies were unchanged. and later our military plans would not be modified to even bomb the railways and prevent the deaths of thousands of more victims at places like Auschwitz. Many claimed not to know what was happening. and what could be done to aid those in desperate need. But today we know all too clearly what happened. and we must be determined to ensure that those who died will not be forgotten. and that those who were responsible for these artocities must bear that burden and be brought to the tribunals of Justice. no matter who they may be. nor where they may try to hide.
